The AIW D28 pillar entrance door is AIW's customizable entrance door: elegant, versatile lines with a generous presence, with finishes and door styles chosen to suit your home. Ten crafted details: a concealed door closer (returns the door automatically and can hold it open), automotive-grade weatherstripping (a continuous seal with special corner pieces, gapless on all four sides), adjustable top-and-bottom bolts (adjustable strikes that stay tight on unequal-leaf and double doors), stainless steel hinges, a security door viewer, a limiter lock, anti-pry pins, edge protection, a dust seal and a stepped sill.

Imported from MIWA of Japan, available as an option on single-leaf doors. Turned to 45° it acts as a security bar; at 90° it becomes a second auxiliary lock.

Anti-pry pins
Anti-pry pins on the hinge side engage the frame when the door closes, so the leaf cannot be removed even if the hinges are destroyed.

Stepped sill
The stepped sill stops drained water from flowing back; on inward-opening entrances the sill is sloped inside, which both drains easily and resists water being pushed back by wind pressure, lowering the chance of seepage.
