ABOUT AIW

Company History

From Taiwan's first to the summit of Asia — three generations, nearly a century of craftsmanship

In 1932, Mr. Wu Lien-fa began with the craft of wooden windows and doors. The second generation, Mr. Wu Ting-wang, developed Taiwan's first dedicated airtight window, and Shangtian Aluminum built a solid position across Asian markets. When the third-generation craftsman Mr. Wu Lu-chien took over, he carried that accumulated wisdom into modern technology, moving the company from ODM to OBM and spending five years developing its own brand. Innovating across fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, engineering craft and contemporary aesthetics, AIW broke past the purely functional view of building materials: a new generation of windows that fits seamlessly into the modern home, raises the standard of refined living, surpasses the performance of international brands, and puts a Taiwanese brand proudly on the world stage.

Quality Certifications

Asia's highest water tightness — 2000 Pa, internationally recognized standards

Under simulated extreme weather and the highest grade of wind-and-rain testing, the new generation of AIW windows was tested by a laboratory accredited by TAF (Taiwan Accreditation Foundation), reaching 2000 Pa of water tightness — the highest in Asia under international standards, where typical international brands reach only 1500 Pa. A home that no longer fears the storm.
